Assignment: NLRB Case Summary

• Visit the website for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) (www.nlrb.gov). Click on the heading “Cases & Decisions” and conduct a case search for board decisions or administrative law judges’ decisions that deal with unfair labor practices or representation.
• Select a case and read the available documentation.
• Conduct an Internet search using the search engine of your choice, or use the online library for additional sources of information on the case, including media articles that provide background information on the case itself and/or the parties involved.
• Write a paper of approximately 750 words that summarizes the NLRB’s role in the case you selected above. Include the following in your paper:
  • Provide a description of the complaint, the issues involved, and the resolution
  • Explain the NLRB’s role in settling the dispute
  • Summarize and evaluate the NLRB’s decisions and/or rulings

• Include a minimum of two sources, which may consist of readings from the University Library, your text, or other selections.
