Assignment 1: LASA 2: Enhancing the Product Website Description of LASA: In this assignment, you will use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance the company website that you have been creating throughout this course. Scenario: Based on your original website design (submitted for M3 Assignment 2 LASA 1), Acme Products has contracted you to enhance all its web pages. The company wants you to create a beta version of the website and an executive summary for the chief technical officer (CTO) that summarizes your choices in the design. Tasks: Revision of Website: Apply your knowledge of internal, inline, and external style definition and of HTML to: - Design and develop an external style definition that can be applied to all the web pages.
- Assess the web pages designed for M3 Assignment 2 LASA 1 and revise, as appropriate, to include inline, internal, or external style definitions. All three forms must be present and appropriately applied throughout the pages. You will be asked to justify your choices in the executive summary. All pages must be designed consistently.
- Generate an HTML application in which users can enter their name, e-mail address, phone number, and a comment. The web page should use JavaScript to validate that the user has provided information for each field. The form can submit the data (which you will not process) to your personal e-mail address.
All pages that utilize external style definition must use the same file. Inline, internal, and external style definitions must each be present at least once in the website. You must build the website content in HTML using a basic text editor. You may not use existing web page templates. Executive Summary: Prepare a 1- to 2-page executive summary for the CTO on the basis of the following: - Provide your website link and justify how your choices of inline, internal, and external style definitions are most appropriate for this situation.
- Discuss the reasons for using external style sheets for sites that constitute multiple pages.
Review the grading rubrics for this assignment before you submit your website link and cover letter for grading. Note: Make sure that you write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Submission Details: - Save the revised website and the executive summary in a zip folder as M5_A1_Lastname_Firstname.zip.
- By Monday, July 24, 2017, submit your zip folder to the M5 Assignment 1 LASA 2 Dropbox.
