Server virtualization allows IT departments to consolidate multiple servers to a single server, which maintains computing efficiency.

This assignment will help you understand the reasons for changing from multiple servers to one virtual server.

Tasks:

Using the Argosy University online library resources, your course textbook, and the Internet, research on server virtualization. Based on your research, respond to the following questions:

• What are the reasons for an organization to consider consolidating multiple servers into one virtual server? Explain at least five such reasons.
• What are the benefits of consolidating multiple servers into one virtual server?
• Which virtualization product might be best suited to a large organization planning to consolidate at least twenty different types of servers? Why?
