Need two questions answered new product development

I need this in less than an hour:

#1. Prototyping is often used to test products and product ideas. Define prototyping and explain the benefits obtained from prototyping. What limits the number of iterations associated with a prototyping test? How would you use a prototype model in an operation for which you were responsible?

#2.  When using creativity to generate new concepts, should our focus primarily be directed to external markets? Why, or why not? Defend your answer and offer a specific example to support it
