You are a counselor in private practice about to engage in an initial interview with a 40-year-old woman who is in a relationship with a physically abusive man. The boyfriend is not with her during the interview.  He does not know that she has sought counseling.  The woman has no children. She has a good job and is employed as a nurse at a major hospital.

Imagine how the interview between the counselor and client will progress. Create a transcript based on this interview

Include the following elements in your interview:

• Effective questioning techniques to gather information from the client
• Demonstration of reflecting techniques
• Demonstration of empathy and rapport building

 The transcript should be embedded within a paper format. This means that there will be an introduction paragraph that helps transition readers into the transcript, and there will be a conclusion paragraph.  Be sure to include a title page, and a reference page (if outside sources are used). The paper should be between 900-1150 words and formatted according to APA guidelines.
