Narrative essay
The Narrative essay is the only essay where you can use “I”, because you are telling your own story. A narrative should reflective of a significant time in
your life. There are five choices for the Narrative essay; please choose one. The essay will be two to three pages in length and employ APA format.
Follow these guidelines to write your narrative essay:
The narrative essay should be two – three pages in length. Choose one of the following options:
Think of the various “lessons” that you have learned in your lifetime. What was the biggest lesson you ever learned? Describe the
event/events that led to this lesson, and how it changed you.
Most families have “traditions” that are unique to them. Think about some of the traditions that your family keeps. Describe one of these
traditions and how you keep up the tradition in your own life.
Think about the most important relationship in your life. This can mean any relationship – friendship, family, loved ones, work colleagues.
When did you first meet this person? How did the relationship develop?
Have you ever had a “perfect day”? Describe the day in detail, including why it became so important to you.
Making difficult decisions is a challenge. When were you faced with making a difficult decision? Describe the events leading to the decision,
what the decision was, and why you made it.
Include an APA title page.
Include a running head.
This essay does not require outside sources.
