MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY (Christmas)

OUTCOME:  To demonstrate one-page academic report format by using the MLA style to prepare a report that uses your own thoughts and ideas.

1.     Create a blank Word document.

2.     Create a footer with your name and My Favorite Holiday.

3.     Save your file in your CSAS folder with My Favorite Holiday as the filename.

4.     Using your notes and completed report printouts to review the format you will need to use, create a one-page academic report (in MLA style) on your favorite holiday.

a.     As you create the heading of the report, keep in mind you are preparing the report for this class.

5.     Although you don’t have to include all of these, here are some things to consider as you prepare your response. You are also not limited to these ideas:

a.     What is your favorite holiday?

b.     What makes it your favorite holiday?

c.      What do you  know about the history of the holiday?

d.     When and why is the holiday celebrated?

e.     Is it an American holiday or a worldwide holiday?  Celebrated the same way?

f.       What traditions do you and/or your family have for the holiday?

g.     What would you change to make your favorite holiday even better?

6.     Save and proofread periodically.

7.     From the Review tab, use Spelling & Grammar option to help finalize your document.

8.     Print and label.
