Motivation and Change in Your Company

profileprtneesswdly

When change comes down the pike, employees can get off the motivation path. It's difficult to keep morale high when employees don't understand the changes that are facing them and the company. Often, companies will turn to monetary, extrinsic motivation: bonuses, incentives, etc.

In your initial post, describe a change your own company (past or present) instituted, list the effect the change had on employee motivation, and explain whether your company offered extrinsic motivators (bonuses, time off, incentives, etc.) in order to increase employee acceptance of that change.

For your response post, choose another student's summary and share your thoughts about how an OD intervention could be implemented to make the change easier on employees. Evaluate the use of internal vs. external motivators.

Please make your initial post by midweek, and respond to at least one other student's post by the end of the module. Please check the Course Calendar for specific due dates.
