Modeling for Risk Analysis
The Research Report
A comprehensive research report is due no later than the day of the final
examination.
It is important that you refer to your assignment schedule to identify the specific deadline date by
which the final examination must be written and the research paper submitted.
Research reports will be graded on the following:
Content – concise presentation of relevant facts and supporting materials in a logical manner as
well as a clear identification of the topical coverage as it relates to the auditing course and your
major premise for the paper,
Analysis – logical utilization of the facts presented above integrating the concepts discussed in
the course to support the conclusions presented in the paper,
Presentation – proper grammar, spelling, footnoting and use of a bibliography. All material cited in
the body of the report must be clearly referenced.
Education – overall evaluation of the paper and how well it presents/supports the arguments
made.
Research is an essential part of this paper.
Term Paper Formatting Standards

documenting references and sources of information
It is based on standards established by the American Psychological Association
Please use the following templates to set up your papers:

Cover Page:
1 Page:

Course Name
Course Code
Day & time of class
Faculty
Student Name
(Student Number)

Running Header
(= Title of paper and student name)
Title
Text is double spaced
1” margin on both sides and top

Body of Text References:
If direct quote put in “ ” and after quote (Author, Year, pgs)
If using, e.g., Freud stated, put in “ ”, and after quote (Year, pgs)
Any idea that is obtained from others must include a reference source
Any material copied from another source MUST be placed in quotes and referenced (otherwise
you are plagiarizing). Quotes should be used very carefully and sparingly; include only very
pertinent and well written 'sound bites' that add to your own themes. Quotes should serve as
highlights or accent points for your own material, otherwise the paper can become too derivative
and unoriginal to be interesting.
References List (end of paper):
All references are listed alphabetically by author’s last name; do not separate out texts, then
journals, and then web site – list all, together, by author’s name. If there is no author, then use the
editor’s/publisher's name or the title when doing the alphabetizing.
nd
Indent in 2 line is 5 spaces.
Example of a text reference format:
Author Last name, First name. Year. Title of Text. Publisher:
