For this research project you will be writing a short essay. Considering the major economic concerns impacting the American economy today, choose a current microeconomic topic relating to how these issues impact businesses, industries, individual consumers, or individual products.

Due Dates

• Unit 2 – Topic submission
• Unit 4 – Final Microeconomics Research Project submission

Begin researching information for possible topics during the first week of this term. In Unit 2 you must submit your proposed topic to your instructor. Your final research paper is due in Unit 4.

Written Requirements

1. Provide the history or background leading up to the recent occurrences, and provide a detailed overview of the current situation and its challenges.
2. Compare and contrast opposing views and give credit to both sides before arriving at your conclusion.
