PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS 200 WORDS PER QUESTION.

1. analyze Wal-Mart's strategic choices at the business, functional, corporate and global levels. Choose one strategic choice, and identify which level it addresses. Later on in the discussion, consider whether the strategic choices are in sync with their generic strategy

2. In order to implement a strategic choice, organizations use structures, control systems, HR policies, culture. Let us revisit Wal-Mart and analyze how they implement the strategies they currently pursue. Again, choose one implementation tactic, identify whether it concerns structure, controls, HR, or culture and whether or not you think it positively supports their strategy at the proper level.

3. Give a standard response to the following in 200 words.
One person pointed to the vision and mission statements posted in his office. We also have vision and mission statements in the AF. In fact we are drilled on them in every formal military school. Here they are:

The mission of the AF is to, "fly, fight and win...in air, space and cyberspace."

To achieve that mission, the Air Force has a vision to,

The United States Air Force will be a trusted and reliable joint partner with our sister services known for integrity in all of our activities, including supporting the joint mission first and foremost. We will provide compelling air, space, and cyber capabilities for use by the combatant commanders. We will excel as stewards of all Air Force resources in service to the American people, while providing precise and reliable Global Vigilance, Reach and Power for the nation. AF
Our values statements are, "Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence in all we do. These are the value statements of the USAF as most of you know. Other branches have similar statements."

It is interesting to see that my own organization has mission, vision and value statemetns. Does the current mission statment reflect our current operations? Should they be refined to meet the demands of our own current market segment, the tax payers? I say yes. It is a rather archaeic expression to say win wars.... We aren't out any more to necessarily win wars but help achieve peace throughout various parts of the world through providing air domination, supporting or ground troops throuh air mobility and reconassance as well as providing training so our partner nations can provide their own stabilitiy through air. FIght and win wars is rather napoleanesq! THoughts?
