MGSC2301 Individual PROJECT # EXTRA CREDIT Fall, 2015 General Instructions/Information:  Individual Project # EXTRA CREDIT is due on Thursday, December 3.  Individual Project # EXTRA CREDIT will be scored on a 50-point scale. You have sample data, which contain the heights of the male students (in inches) from two independent groups (group 1 and group 2: sections taught by two different professors in Statistics). In addition, each professor measured the heights of his/her students. 1. Referring to the data, calculate sample means, quartiles: Q1, Q2 and Q3, inter-quartile ranges, and sample standard deviations for both groups. (12 points) 2. Referring to the data, graph the histograms (interval width = 3) and box-plots for both groups. (8 points) 3. Referring to the results in part 1 and part 2, compare the distributions of these two groups and draw conclusions. (4 points) 4.
