Every form of media shapes the style of communication. Take a single recent news story and find it in two different types of media (internet blog, print newspaper, TV, radio- ONE of the two must be print based). Identify the story and its sources (use APA format). Then briefly describe the difference in the way the story is reported:

What fact were different?

What opinions were different?

What emotions were different?

Then in three to five paragraphs evaluate those differences. Are any of them due to intrinsic biases built into the medium? Could you get the same effect from other media? What changes would be necessary? How do you evaluate each media as a way of conveying news? Which do you trust more? Why?
