The Profile

The Profile assignment allows you to choose what kind of topic you wish to write about.  This can change the content significantly.  Your choices are to write a Patient Profile, a Business Profile, Customer Profile, or a Case Study.  These all share a similar format.  Think about the kind of documents you will be required to write as a professional in your field and let that guide you to your topic selection.

All profiles should include these parts:

Introduction:  In this section, include background information/history/location/missionThis includes name, address, and occupation if profiling a person.

Body:  Different kinds of Profiles will include different subtopics here.  For example:

Patient Profile

• Discuss patient needs/diagnosis
• Discuss patient attitude
• Discuss outside factors that will impact treatment

Business Profile

• State what characteristics this company has that make it unique
• Describe company including products, services, policies
• Financial data, profits, revenues, and growth
• Include personnel information

Customer Profile

• Geographic location
• Income

Obviously, this will require both primary and secondary research.
