Case Analysis
Read Case 10.1, "Conflict Over Job Duties," on pages 237 to 238 of the textbook. Analyze the case with the help of John Dewey's "Rational Problem-Solving Process." The application of both theory and professional vocabulary is required in the formulation of a solution and ultimately a recommendation.

1.     See Figure 10-3, "Strategies for Managing Conflict." Search for connections, examples, and research mentioned in the text as likely explanations for what is occurring within this organization.

2.     Review John Dewey's "Rational Problem-Solving Process" in Chapter 13 prior to composing the report.

Please note that writing on this topic is excellent practice for the final project. This assignment engages the problem-solving process of analyzing a case for an equitable resolution.

Write this analysis in the literary present as an observer and report facts. The written assignment essay should be between 1050 and 1400 words in length. The report should demonstrate mastery of the concepts in modules 1 through 4, be written in the third person, and be presented without "spin" or editorializing.
