The fiscal year end stock prices for 2007 through fiscal year 2012 for both Lowe’s and Home Depot have been provided in the excel workbook in the Dropbox material. These prices were used in calculating the market test ratios (price/earnings and dividend yield) for both companies; using these prices answer the following questions. What has been happening to the market price of Lowe’s stock in the five years from 2005 through 2009 compared to Home Depot’s stock prices in terms of general overall trend? Which stock has performed better in the market and why?
