The word philosophy means "the love of wisdom."

Here are four main branches of philosophy: 

Aesthetics

Ethics

Epistemology

Metaphysics

Please choose ONE of these four branches of philosophy and provide a brief description of what it studies, and how it is related to the whole of philosophy.

Then, please indicate how this branch of philosophy affects how you approach and define religion.
