Literacy Narrative Essay

Please craft your own version of a literacy narrative for us to workshop in class. A narrative, remember, is a story. For this particular narrative, you should describe an encounter with either reading or writing that impacted you in some way. Perhaps it made you feel differently about something, or it caused a change in you somehow. Think about scenarios such as:

Learning to read or write

A book that you really love

A writing assignment that you really enjoyed

A time when you doubted your writing ability

A book that changed your perspective

How writing is difficult for you

A reading/writing assignment that challenged your beliefs

Learning to read/write in a different language

Remember what makes a good story: Details are key. Use strong images, clear descriptions and meaningful language, and help the reader understand the significance of this event.

Your paper should be two pages typed and double-spaced, in Times New Roman font.
