Listen to a recording of a notable Jazz artist and write a review on it

listen to a recording of a notable jazz artist (either historical or current), and write a review approximately 800-1200 words in length.  Your review should include a biography of the artist, which will have been researched by you from one or more legitimate resources.  As a starting point, refer to the online resource page for this class:  (http://library.csun.edu/Guides/MUS306/databases).  You do not need to include a bibliography but any information you use from your resources must be cited.  Wikipedia is not an acceptable resource.  Please include background behind the making of the recording (why the artist made the recording, when it was recorded and released, what impact, if any, it had on the historic or current jazz community).   Include descriptive critiques of the music, evaluating specific tracks as well as the album as a whole.  This review is subjective, so please reveal your personal opinion about the music, how it affected you, whether you liked it or not, and why.
