Access the 'Journal of Pragmatics'. (A print version and an online version are available to CSUN students through the CSUN library.) Browse and select an article that you find interesting. Then do the following: 1. Provide a brief summary of the article that includes answers to the following questions: What was the central question that the author(s) raise? What are the main conclusions? Be sure to use your own words and do not just copy the abstract (!) 2. Answer this question: Why does this article belong in a journal dedicated to the field of Pragmatics? Make sure to also include an MLA or LSA formatted citation.
