A letter *Political science class*

            Compose and send a personal letter to the appropriate representative in government about an issue that concerns you.  Part of this assignment is for you to determine who the appropriate recipient is and how to contact that person.  If you are concerned about street maintenance in your town, you might want to write your city council member; if the death penalty troubles you, then perhaps your California state senator or assemblymember is the correct contact; or if you are disturbed about US military action abroad, you should let the president or your senator or representative in Congress know how you feel.  Real letters have more political weight than emails or phone calls, so for this assignment, type your letter on paper
