Leadership Responsibility to Prepare the Self

 

 

 

Activity Instructions

 

Create a 4 page paper (excluding cover and reference pages) in which you complete the following:

 

    • Explain your rationale for the necessity to accept responsibility to prepare the self, using the insights from the existing developmental pathways available to you for enhancing your global leadership skills.

    • Evaluate a current development program you might create or in which you participate, relative to its ability to build deep self-awareness and growth, cultural intelligence, and Gardner's five minds in prospective leaders.

       

      "The Synthesizing Mind" in Gardner's 2008 article, "The Five Minds for the Future," from School: Studies in Education, volume 5, issue 1/2.

      Refer to the scoring guide prior to submission to ensure you meet all evaluation criteria.

    • APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA (6th edition) style and formatting.

      Objectives

      To successfully complete this learning unit, you will be expected to:

      1. Evaluate current global leadership development programs for their effectiveness in fostering deep self-awareness and growth, as well as cultural intelligence and nonlinear systems thinking.

      2. Develop a clear rationale for accepting and acting on the responsibility to develop the self.

      3. Define developmental architectures and paths selected to enhance global leadership skills.

      4. Evaluate a current global leadership development program related to career goals for its effectiveness in fostering deep self-awareness and growth.

      5. Analyze how the plan will positively enhance the self for work in a competitive, complex, and diverse workplace.

       

      MUST CITE in the paper with the resources. MUST be 4 pages and those 4 pages DONT include the resources or title page. MUST have a min. of 4 resources.
