Law Enforcement Paper

Write a 1,000 word essay on police corruption, police misconduct, and police brutality.

I want you to write each of these topics (below) as a (level II sub-header) in your paper followed by the answer. The sub-header will be written (verbatim), centered and in boldface.

Level II Sub-Headers

1) Provide a definition of the following: 1) police corruption, 2) police misconduct, and 3) police brutality. 

2) Research a current case within the last 10 years that:  a) involves police brutality or unnecessary use of force.  

3) Describe the details of this case.  Provide the details of the case.  

4) What was the outcome of this case, and be sure to describe what happened if there was a court case.   Or, describe what the police department did with the involved officer(s). 

5) Did you agree with the outcome of the case?   Provide your thoughts on a conviction or a department’s disciplinary action against the officer(s).

Provide at least 2 references that are NOT from a web site. Preferably, a peer reviewed article or from a book.  You can use the class text book(s). For one of the references, at least use your text book(s) to answer question one (1).
