You have been assaulted on the street, beaten and robbed. You suffer facial bruises and dental damage. You are able to identify the robber to the police, who apprehend and charge him. What is the procedure for you, from here?

(Hint: Start your discussion with the Criminal process.  Then, assuming that your assailant is not “judgment-proof”  --  i.e., he has the actual ability to pay you for the damages he caused you  --   how will you go about a Civil suit, and then what is your proof of the crime and your injuries ?)
