This week, you must offer your ideas about your research paper in an initial post of at least 250 words. If you have a topic that is concrete, that is great. If not, you must at least have a general topic--like slavery, music, politics, etc., with a subset of ideas that could be the basis of a topic. You must also list the primary and secondary sources you think will be useful. Use the forum to help you find your topic.  Interact with other students as much as you wish. To recieve credit, you must comment on the ideas of at least two other students with substantive thoughts about their work. Perhaps you find a student with a similar topic. Or, you may find that someone who is struggling narrowing down a topic could use your help. Whatever case, do not fail to benefit from this--as having a good topic is most of the battle when creating a research paper.
