Employees are either exempt or nonexempt. The considerations for what determines the classification require the organization to be clear about the duties, responsibilities, and terms of employees of each classification.
Prepare a PowerPoint presentation of 5–7 slides with speaker notes of 200–250 words per slide (excluding Title and Reference slides) that addresses the following:
- What are the definitions of an exempt and nonexempt employee?
- What are the definitions of an exempt and nonexempt employee?

- Provide examples of typical job categories that are exempt and nonexempt.
- What potential consequences would an organization face if it violates the proper classification of employees as exempt who are, in reality, nonexempt?
