Jago-Yetton-Vroom analysis

Each student will prepare a Jago-Yetton-Vroom Analysis of case situation, taking both long and short term considerations into account. The analysis must include criteria for determining when and how to route a problem through organizational hierarchy. Care must taken to decide what challenges should be handled by whom within the hierarchy. Students will also prepare an alternative model for their own, which they will use to decide what needs to be delegated. An in basket exercise may be assigned to students to teach relevant principles Students will receive two scores for the written paper , based on their ability to :
1- Deploy the jago-yetton-vroom model to decide how and what to delegate including information on when to collaborate the number of branches the varied decisions of collaboration, delegation or independent individual executive decision and
2- Critique and contrast the Jago-Yetton-Verrom Model to their alternative model and ascertain the strengths and limitations of each model as its concerns management delegation of authority and its impact on effectiveness of the operation
