Current Event Assignment Instructions (optional but recommended):
1. Choose a news item of interest to you that relates to information and
telecommunication policy (Preferably, the current event of the week should be related
in some ways to the t
opics discussed that week). This news can be any item within the

the main points from the article and your analysis. In your
analysis, you should take an information specialist approach and do a little research to

(b) Who are the main stakeholders involved in
this issue? Why and how it is important
for each of them?
(c) What implications/impact would this event/case have on these stakeholders and on
the information and telecommunications policy in general?
(d) Any final thoughts, observations, recommendation
s or personal reflections. Please
