1.       Contrast Descartes’s and Locke’s accounts of how we can think about the ideas of infinity, perfection, and God. How does this issue represent the differences between rationalism and empiricism?(Empiricism PowerPoint [Hereafter Emp. PPT])

 

 

 

7.             I need money for Spring Semester but I do not have it.  How would Kant say that I should try to get the money from you?  Why is it important for him, from a moral perspective, that I do it one way rather than another? [Hint:  what would happen to promise keeping in general if promises were routinely broken? Could we break our own promises and also will that everyone do the same?  Also, what do I treat you as if I break my promise to you, according to Kant?]  (Ch. 7 Sec. G).
