Research Task Assignment (Pric of Int Business)

Using globalEDGE™, (globaledge.msu.edu) complete the Research Exercises 1 and 2 locate under the section “Research Task” on page 187 (See below). 

Prepare a report with an analysis of your findings.

For exercise 1 provide an analysis of the implications that for the United States may have the fact that those specific countries are the top importers and exporters of merchandise.

Exercise 1: The World Trade Organization International Trade Statistics is an annual report that provides comprehensive, comparable and updated statistics on trade in merchandize and commercial services. The report allows an assessment of world trade flows by country, region, and main product or service categories. Using the most recent statistics available, identify the top ten countries that led in the import and export of merchandize trade, respectively. Which countries appear in the top 10 in both exports and imports? Can you explain why these countries appear at the top of both lists?

For exercise 2 explain in detail the rationale of your choice. Start the report with an introduction and end the report with a conclusion.

Exercise 2 : Food in an integral part of understanding different countries, cultures, and lifestyles. You run a chain of high-end premium restaurants in the United States, and you are looking for unique Australian wines you can import. However, you must first identify which Australian suppliers’ directory, identify 3 to 4 companies that can be potential suppliers. Then develop a list of criteria you would need to ask these companies to select which one to work with.
