I need a little help to install and configure a DHCP server in your CentOS instance.into Oracle VM VirtualBox. Your task this week is to install and configure a DHCP server in your CentOS instance. You'll need to configure your network settings to allow downloading of the software with yum in the first step. Before you begin configuring DHCP, please make sure that you've set your VB network settings to 'Internal Network'( here I already did this into my settings), and defined your hostname. Here I following some “commands” that I know: “yum install dhcp” Then I got “PYCURL ERROR 6 - "Couldn't resolve host 'mirrorlist.centos.org'" Dependencies Resolved Package: dhcp , Arch: i686, Version: 12:4.1.1-38.P1.el6.centos, Repository: base. Size: 819 k Transaction Summury Install 1 Package What I need to know is the “Commands” that I can fix this problem above and then continue my installation until I get the “contents of my dhcpd.conf file” and the “output of the command service dhcpd start” that shows that the service started ok. I tried “ifconfig” and then “yum search dhcp” and I aslo tried the command “vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0” but its not working so I hope you can help to resolve this problem and done my Lab here following the requirements below. For your installation options (dhcpd.conf), you do NOT use all of the lines shown in the instructions. I would like you to configure the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet and assign the addresses from 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.99 as assignable addresses (this assumes that your NIC is on the 192.168.1.0 subnet. If not, please adjust the network portion of the address to match your own subnet). You'll need to substitute this data into the instructions in the appropriate place. The host name should be whatever was assigned to you at the start of the semester. The first screen shot should show the contents of your dhcpd.conf file. The second screenshot should show the output of the command 'service dhcpd start'...
