1. Network infrastructures:   Distributed, Client/Server and Tiered.  Use the Internet to research at least one corporation to learn what they are doing with their IT infrastructure. Post your findings in the discussions. Always include the name of the company and other relevant information.   
2. IT Success Metrics (pp. 209-212):  Also known as benchmarks are critical to business. This discussion challenges you to research for information about IT metrics, benchmarks, measurements and process impovement.  Various categories of metrics are used in IT, such computers, software, networks, staffing, salaries, and spending. Find a company, an article, or Web site and discuss your findings. If possible, share a personal experience with metrics or benchmarks.

Writing Assignment and Module E Exercise  

These short writings are expected to be in your words or paraphrasing of other resources. The use of direct phrases and sentences from resources, even with quotes, is discouraged. Both short writings can be in one document.

When saving, use your last name at the beginning of the file name. Remember to use the written paper guidelines: Name, course, and date. Use 1" margins, double spacing, font size 12 and preferably a sans-serif font, such as Arial, Tahoma, or Verdana. Apply the 4-C's of writing: Correct, complete, clear, and concise.

Short Writing: Read Closing Case Study Two - Denver Health Operates with a Private Cloud and Thin Clients. (Pg 219)   Write your repsonses to questions 1, 3, 5, and 6. Internet research should include the name of Web page, the author (if one), the date found, and the URL at the end of the document.

Extended Learning Module E - Network Basics: Exercise. Write a brief answers to Short Answer Questions, # 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. After reading Extended Learning Module E, turn to page 432.

Follow the written paper guidelines, but in general this paper is probably better with single spacing. But both assignments can be in one document.  Just begin the exercise on a new page (use Word's page break feature).
