Industry Analysis
Using the product from Week 1, Product Analysis, students are required to write an in-depth analysis of the industry.
Topics to be analyzed include (but are not limited to):
- Industry analysis, including
- Type of industry
- Size of industry
- Expected profit margins
- Marketing strategy (low-cost or product differentiation). Make sure you support your answer.
- The most common channel of distribution
- Direct, wholesalers, on-line presence, or other
- Industry growth (estimated)
- Us a a graph to show the previous three years but anticipated growth for the next two years.
- It is recommended the students incorporate the leading competitor's information into this same graph.
- Competitor analysis
- List the three leading competitors and their respected competitive advantages and weaknesses
- Pricing structures
- Marketing strategy
