Incorporating Multiculturalism into the Curriculum

This study explores the importance of incorporating multiculturalism into the curriculum by focusing on multicultural sources such as Acosta’s book “My Mother Pieced Quilts”. The study also gives a brief history of the author’s life through the poem “My Mother Pieced Quilts” and suggests way through which teachers can utilize the contents of the book in a more culturally inclusive manner by utilizing appropriate teaching styles to reach all student groups within the learning environment.
