Questions to determine what hardware we will recommend for employee workstations in the new

organization:

1.      Which staff members and departments will require portable computers so they can work away from the office?

2.     How much capacity will each Staff Member and Department need to assure adequate memory and storage space?

3.     Since the new facility will be networked with New York.  Does the New York facility have Hardware/Memory capacity that we can use or do you prefer to be independent in Chicago?  Possibly some departments can be connected, let’s explore this further?

4.     What features will some or all of the staff require such as internet, sound and microphones for online meetings, etc. ?

5.     Describe your vision of what some of your staff members may require for monitors for intricate drawings and bill of materials, etc. ?

6.     Lets explore your budget and how you anticipate rolling out new hardware to all the staff and departments?

7.     Lets explore the training needs that various staff members may require?

  1. Due in Module Three: Write a case report that is at least one page in length that includes recommendations of the computer hardware components that you think will meet the needs of each department in the new organization. For each component, describe what it does and why you selected it. Your presentation should focus on hardware requirements for the expansion. Possible recommendations include desktops, laptops, netbooks, or Mac, or items for input and output devices, such as display monitors and printers, or tablets and smartphones. Be sure to defend why this solution meets the requirements. The recommendations should meet the needs of all five departments. Be sure to use terminology from your course content. Use the following sections for your case report:
    • · Introduction: In one to two paragraphs, summarize the requirements for the new organization and the needs of each department.
    • · Recommendations: Write up your recommendations in paragraph form. Explain why your recommendations are a good fit for each department.
    • · Conclusion: In one paragraph, state why you think the recommendations would last for three years.
