I need help redoing this paper please read all of the description and HELP

You did a nice job researching your topic and have some very interesting information.  However, your paper still has more than 30% of the total text in direct quotations.  The general rule of thumb is that no more than 10% of the total text should be in quotes.  The rest of the material should be paraphrased from your original source.  Reserve the use of quotations for material that is very difficult to paraphrase.  Please remove the quotations and paraphrase the material.  Once you have finished editing the paper, please re-submit it and I will grade.  This was the response I received from my teacher after I submitted my paper on Canada...

Stage 1: 1800’s          

Major event in the country: 

The key events that took place were the depopulation of Aboriginal peoples, which was largely due to the spread of diseases and the arrival of the white men as, early as the 16^th century. Also Slavery was outlawed in Canada in 1807. In 1812 the America went to was with Great Brittan and attacked Canada in 1812.

 Birth and death rate at this time:

The country had a very high birth rate until the around mid 1900 and it grew, in fact the country grew steadily over the years and still is today.

Events that impacted the Environmental:

The French was among the first to come to Canada in search of natural resources, such as goal and established trading post in the country.

Stage 2: 1900”s

Major event in the country: 

The First World War had a major negative effect on the country. However the second world war had and positive effect on Canada.

Birth and death rate at this time:

The birth rate was down and deaths were up at this time. However the birth rate was back on the raise during and after the Second World War and is still growing today. 

Events that impacted the Environmental:

The country had an Economic growth after the war and became very prosperous. Environmentalist going by the name Grey Owl went on a mission to save the Beaver

Stage 3: 1960’s

Major event in the country: 

None reported other than the end of the Baby boom area.

Birth and death rate at this time:

There was well over 18 million people living in the country and the country’s birth rate grew 2.7 % each year.

Events that impacted the Environmental:

The local Natives are given their right’s to vote. Also English and French becomes the National languages

Stage 4: 1990”s

Major event in the country: 

Immigration number set at 225,000 and the country would elect its first female Leaded or Prim Mister.  Also in the first for Canada, the country would experience its first recession. The country would see its first female go to space.

Birth and death rate at this time:

Today Canada has one of the lowest death rates in the world among infants. This is due to the countries advances it has made in the medical field.

Assignment 2: Demographic Transitions Demographic transition is the process in which a nation transitions from being a less industrialized society, with high birth and death rates, to an industrialized nation, with lower birth and death rates. Many countries have already been through this transition including the United States, England, and Canada. The demographic transition to an industrialized society is detrimental for the environment because industrialized societies tend to use up nonrenewable resources and give off pollution. Industrialized nations have the largest ecological and carbon footprint relative to developing or nonindustrialized countries. Fortunately, there are some benefits to the process of demographic transition, including lower birth and death rates. Essentially, people in industrialized countries have fewer children and this in turn helps control the overall population size. Demographic transition involves the following five stages: Stage 1 High birth rate, high death rate, low population size Stage 2 High birth rate, decreasing death rate, increasing population size Stage 3 Decreasing birth rate, decreasing death rate, increasing population size Stage 4 Low birth rate, low death rate, high population size Stage 5 Low birth rate, low death rate, population size decreasing It should be noted that stage 5 is controversial, and it is sometimes not considered to be a stage.
