Assignment:
In "Patterns for College Writing," read chapters 7 through 12 before attempting this assignment. 
Write an Essay of approximately 3.5 pages in length, double-spaced in response to prompt #9 on page 368:

Here is the prompt:
What kinds of survival skills does a student need to get through college successfully? Write a classification-and-division essay identifying and discussing several kinds of skills and indicating why each category is important. *Note: Ensure your work is in essay format.

Requirements:
Include a works cited page, as appropriate if you introduce external information to support your points, and use MLA, APA, or CMOS formatting (as explored in the Major Formatting Styles assignment) for the entire essay and your outline. Remember, the content of your essay - not counting the outline, headings or the works cited page - must be over three full pages in length. Do not use large fonts or excessive spacing in attempt to meet this requirement. Instead, focus on and immerse yourself in the task. Writing is much easier when you're sincerely engaged in the subject at hand.
