aliesticMen tend to be more tied to their jobs than women are, although you can not say that all men are like that, and women tend to care more about relationships with family and friends. In generall when a woman retire she has created relationships during her life that she can maintain after retirement. What most men does instead is to dedicate their life to their jobs and not create as many relationships outside of work. When they retire they become depressed because everything they "know" is over. Therefore the suicide rates is much higher for men in the age off retirement than it is for women.
