Hi ,  one of the most important things about presenting research findings is your own professional demeanor.  It is critical to let the audience know that you are the expert and know your research well.  Although speaking ability is important,  being able to answer questions about your research is the most critical aspect of presenting it.  This includes having full understanding of the weaknesses of your research, which is always a required section of any published research.  You will also make suggestions for further study based on the limitations of your research and it is good to know how to talk to audiences about those recommendations. 

Online students must complete an 8- to 10-slide Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® presentation. Both modalities must include the following:

• Prior research: literature review
• Purpose
• Methods
• Expected conclusions
• References
