During an economic recession, discuss how management's or a union's bargaining power might be affected. Give an appropriate business example to illustrate what you mean, support it with at least one reference.

Is early retirement (by age 62) still a realistic option for most employees to achieve without experiencing a substantial decline in their preretirement standard of living? Explain your response, use at least one reference to support your discussion.
