SuperClassA lumbar spine specimen from L1 to L3 is tested under a flexion moment with L3 fixed and L1 and L2 free to move. Three IREDs are attached to each vertebra and the 3-D location of each marker is known in two positions. Using the values given below calculate rotation about and translation along a helical axis for L1 and L2. All coordinates are given in the fixed reference frame.
