Write a 600 word essay:

Provide an overview of the Enlightenment.

From the Introduction by Margaret C. Jacob, determine the factors that influenced the development and success of the Enlightenment in England. (Refer specifically to your textbook.)

Discuss the narrative of Equiano (just the chapter on Pilot) and the ways his story contradicted Enlightenment values (refer specifically to the source material).

Give your opinion of why England, despite the early, positive reception of the Enlightenment there, took so long to end its involvement in the slave trade.

Find three cartoons created during this period (1919-1945). Provide the images and some background information about the cartoons - the creator and source (if known), the event or people central to the cartoon (who, what, when, where), and the message about World War II that the cartoonist was trying to convey. This should be one paragraph per cartoon.
