There are five job analysis methods including observation, individual interview, group interview, structured questionnaire, technical conference, and diary method. Select two job analysis methods. For each method chosen, describe a situation which is most appropriate to apply the job analysis method. What are some disadvantages associated with each method you have chosen?
NOTE:   this discussion is about job analysis.  It is NOT about evaluating employee performance or evaluating candidates for a position. 

Does your organization incorporate technological advances in its interview or staffing strategies?  How effective are these technologies?  Name some technologies HRM could possibly use in the interview or staffing process.  What would be the advantages or disadvantages of these technologies?

The text recommends a structured selection process.  However, some companies use a much less formal process for selection and hiring.   Give an example of a company that has used a more informal process and how the results would be improved with a more structured process.

Explain why Pre-Employment testing is required in a lot of jobs, especially technical ones?

How does your organization use social media in its sourcing and recruiting efforts?  What are some of the advantages and challenges of using these methods?

Explain how an organization would use Facebook?   Do they simply post job openings or is there an interactive way for potential employees to apply for jobs through the FB app?

The video discusses retraining auto workers for a different manufacturing process. What is your organization's experience with retraining?   How successful was the retraining effort?

 Note:   retraining in this context is training an employee, who would otherwise be laid off, a new job or skill in order to preserve his/her employment.  It is NOT about cross training, refresher training or regular training for advancement.
