How to write a short story

1200 words double spaced 

Topically, your short story can be about anything you choose, but as we discussed in class, it must have a rising arc, with some kind of conflict, rising tension, climax, and resolution. I want to see at least two characters, though only one has to be primarily involved in the conflict.You can choose whether or not to include dialogue, but i'd like to see these characters develop psychologically throughout the course of the story. (in other words, in a good story, a character undergoes some change)
