In the email you send me, please have the following…

  • Include a substantive subject line and open the email with a greeting.

  • Use proper spelling, grammar, mechanics, and capitalization.

  • Identify yourself, your course section, the days of the week your class meets, and ID # (Please consider adding this information, with the addition of all of your classes, to your RCBC email signature).

  • Write a clear and brief paragraph about what you want to improve upon in regards to your writing skills this semester. Professional email should be brief and to the point.

  • Tell me anything else you believe I need to know about you as the semester begins.

  • Confirm that you have read and understand course and college policies from the syllabus and the course schedule.
