How Does African American history from Reconstruction through the Great Depression provide a corrective to the single story of "American" history?

 Report must be 1,000 to 1,500 words, must be double spaced, typed, in Times New Roman 12 point font, with one inch margins. Use at least four (4) readings from course materials(That i will provide) to support your answer to the following question. Be sure to explain the significance of your argument (i.e., provide an answer to the “so what?” question).  Also, please number your pages. N.B.: You may use Wikipedia and similar on-line resources as reference tools but you may not use or cite them as sources for your work. If you cite or copy (and paste) Wikipedia as a content source in your paper you will receive no credit for your paper!!!
