Class, computer failures are shattering from both an employer and an employee perspective.  When we keep track of information for customers, our data is very important to us.  The information we hold onto about our customer is stored on hard drives where once we used to have information only available based on our memories or memories of employees who come and go throughout the years.  Storing information in multiple areas and having backup is important.  

Can you imagine if the Hilton Corporation, as an example, would lose all of their reward data?  What do you think, class, they might lose other than data should their have a catastrophic server failure?
