Homework:
To prepare for class for Tuesday, September 13th, please do the following task: 
    •    Go to the SDSU Writing Center home page and click on the red “What is Rhetoric?” link.
    •    Read the brief, but valuable information provided.
    •    Watch the Beyonce video link provided by clicking on the link “Beyonce’s Formulation music video.”
    •    Using what we discussed in class, in addition to the core documents (“Overview of Key Terms” and “Ethos, Pathos, Logos”) we used to guide our understanding of the elements of argument, please thoughtfully answer the questions posted in relation to the Beyonce video in a word document that you will use in class for discussion and then also submit for credit. 
    •    Be sure to organize your work under the five categories posed: Argument, Rhetorical Situation, Audience, Strategies and Appeals (you can use bullets or numbers).
    •    Be specific in providing specific details and explanation for each category; be thoughtful in your responses. Being overly general will not earn full credit.  Start strong!
Be prepared to share your observations with the class.
