What motivations or ideas can you see behind the ways leaders in the 1920s approached peacemaking. How are they similar and how are they dissimilar? Consider ideology, methods of gaining power, and methods of governing in your answer. Be sure to fully consider all three in your answer.
3. Consider the events stretching from the Japanese occupation of Manchuria in 1931 to the outbreak of World War II in 1939. How effective was the League of Nations in dealing with international crises? Be sure to cite specific examples. Assess the policy of appeasement pursued by Britain and France in dealing with German, Italian, and Japanese aggression. What factors contributed to this policy? 4. Consider the development of the war from September 1, 1939 through December 7, 1941. Explain the success of the Axis and why they failed to win a total victory in this time. What advantages did the Allies have that allowed them to survive? At the time of the American entry, were the Axis actually winning the war? Defend your answer.
5.
