Renaissance Inventors, Scientists, Philosophers, and Artists

Instructions: Using one to two (1-2) outside sources, in addition to any information you glean from this week’s presentation and lectures, please write a one to two (1-2) page paper on any one of the Renaissance inventors, scientists, philosophers, or artists that interest you most. Be sure to mention what made them famous, why you chose the person you did, and how that person changed modern societies through their work.

Grading Rubric:

• Use of correct APA formatting (max. 5 points)
• Paper is free of grammatical and/or spelling errors (max. 10 points)
• Use of at least one outside source with proper citation/reference (max. 5 points)
• Student wrote at least one page of text of 250 words (max. 20 points)
• Clearly stating: 
  • Who they chose and why that person is notable (max. 20 points)
  • How the person’s discoveries changed the world (max. 20 points) and
  • related the discoveries to modern societies, values, or history (max. 20 points)
